As curriculum writers and educators of energy efficiency, we are immersed in the topic of energy and natural resources every day. Our field energy specialists, who work face-to-face with customers of our clients (electric utilities), had grown increasingly disappointed by the lack of high quality, reader-friendly information on energy and natural resources. We were repeatedly being asked where information about such topics, written for the typical consumer, could be found. We felt that if we were disappointed, there were probably others who felt the same way. Thus, we knew we had to find a way to communicate with customers about these sometimes technically involved and controversial topics.
